Greasy Cutworm Moth

Agrotis ipsilon aneituma

Description:

Native New Zealand moth species often seen flying around the outside light at night. The caterpillars of this moth live in a tunnel during the day and come out to eat at night usually on new seedlings in my vegetable garden for which they seem quite partial.
