Medium-sized, slender wasp. Orange, females with short, needle-like ovipositor at the tip of the abdomen. Nocturnal.
I spotted this one at a light on the exterior of my apartment building at night.
Easily confused with larger nocturnal ichneumons in the subfamily Ophioninae. Identification provided by Bob Carlson via Bugguide.net.
