Mesodon normalis (Pilsbry, 1900) - a large (to ~35 mm), ubiquitous species at the lower elevations. Endemic to the Appalachian Mountains.
Spotted this large speckled snail on a tree rhododendron/hemlock forest in southern Appalachian/Blue Ridge mountains. Bear Creek Trail Ellijay GA
