Description:

Orange colored butterfly. Body length is about 30mm. May be a Peaock Pansy but I did not see it open its wings and the color is lighter.

Habitat:

Urban garden.

I think you are right Leana. It's most probably the Oriental Peacock Pansy, Junonia almana almana, the existing ssp in the Philippines. Pls compare images from http://pbh-butterflies.yolasite.com/phil..., http://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/161-jun....

The shape of underwing is hint here. Butterfly is not fully adopted DSF (Dry Sean Form)
