Ropalidia marginata
R marginata is a red-orange paper wasp. These wasps come with a yellow ring around the lower abdomen. She/he forages around the garden for food and water and day after day.
He/she lives in a colony on a terrace garden near me. In the photo, the wasp is perched on the leaf of a Echinodorus cordifolius, the spade-leaf sword plant.(aquatic plant).
