Coriarachne brunneipes

Description:

Mid-sized spiders, this one was about 5mm long. They're slow-moving ambush predators that are often found on tree bark. Their coloration camouflages them well, and their flat shape lets them hide easily in cracks and crevices.

Habitat:

Found on the deck.

Notes:

ID from image of palp (see reference). The spider was not harmed in the process.
