Leaf hopper

Rosopaella cf. crofta

Description:

A 6mm long hopper with purplish-brown head and wings and a beautiful green abdomen and legs. The colours appeared to merge with those on the eucalytpus leaf on which this hopper was spotted. Wings had oblique white lines and the scutellum had distinct white markings.

Habitat:

Eucalyptus Tree

Notes:

My thanks to argybee for the ID for this cute little hopper. A Cicadellid from the Subfamily Idiocerinae.
