Beetle

Description:

Ínteresting colouration...almost like peeling tarnished metallic silver!

Habitat:

Govt. building staircase landing on a window sill. I had stopped to catch my breath when I saw this beetle (first shot) but since I was not happy with the angle I tried to draw it to a more open position. It withdrew its legs and assumed a 'I am dead' posture. I took a few shots but left it undisturbed. I was gone when I came back down the stairs in a couple of hours.
