A large species of spider The body consists of Bright Yellow and black stripes. The hind legs and fore legs are clubbed in pair on either sides during rest. Also called as Writing spider in some literature.
Found in areas with vegetation and dense shrubs thereby increasing chances for preying on small and large insects. Grasshoppers, moths, Butterflies and praying mantis
There is a zig zag Stabilimentum (Web decoration) visible on the sides made with thicker webs. There is an opening in the center of the orb, and the Spider usually stays in the center.
