Leopard Slug

Limax maximus

Description:

A leopard slug about 6.5 cm long. A greyish-brown very long slug with linear black markings. There were patches and tracks of thick slime all over the wall.

Habitat:

Spotted in the laundry which opens out into the back yard.

Notes:

The longest slug I've seen around here. It looked more like a miniature python! Much longer than the two in my other spotting from two years ago http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/790...

You're right Keith - these come down for the dog food remnants. I wish they'd bring a bottle of detergent to clean-up afterwards, instead of smothering the place with slime !!
