Cygnus olor & Anas platyrhynchos
This pair of Mute Swans have overwintered on our little lake in Northern NJ for 2 winters now. This past summer they successfully raised a cygnet to adulthood - the first and only one ever on our lake. It did not stay on the lake for the winter. The male and female mallards in the photo are some of the ducklings raised on our lake this past summer also.
