Sitta carolinensis

Description:

White underparts with a blue-gray back and black on the top of head and neck. Usually seen upside down on tree trunks.

Habitat:

Found in woodlands across North America, they prefer old-growth and mixed forests.

Notes:

Seen in Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
