Short-billed Dowitcher

Limnodromus griseus

Habitat:

Shallows in a marsh

Notes:

These were great shots through a scope except for the overcast lighting. This bird was a lifer for me! It was probing in the mud with its bill like a sowing machine. This is a good way to seperate Dowitchers from other sandpipers.
