Saturniid Moth

Salassa sp

Description:

Large orange moth. About 4 inches from tip to tip. Ash coloured dots and lines on wings. Third pic shows size.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. there were two of these moths in the verandah. This one was at floor level. Village Kolakham. Remote, hilly and forested area.Remained overnight and large part of next day.
