Imperial Moth - 7704

Eacles imperialis

Description:

My first time encountering this out-spoken species. This male was huge, over a 6 inch wingspan. It sounded like a bird came in. Even though this male was showing signs of age, he still had a lot of fight in him.

Habitat:

Open area, surrounded mostly by woodlands.

Notes:

Happy National Moth week!
