Description:

It has been considered a subspecies of C. scabiosa that is endemic of the Iberian peninsula. It is a perennial herb with branched stems at the top. Alternate leaves, pinnatisected. Involucre of bracts with dark fimbriae. Flowers are purple-pink. Stamens with dark purple anthers.
