Bothrogonia ferruginea

Description:

This Bythoscopus ferrugineus / Bothrogonia ferruginea species is common in around the neighbourhood and gardens around Tawau. Approximately 14mm up to wingtips. They hop and fly to escape. This bug species can also fall prey to a species of parasitic fungi. The white patch around it's head seems to be fungi growth. This planthopper urine by releasing large drops of water drop by drop.

Habitat:

Around my house backyard in Taman Semarak, Tawau, Sabah.
