Description:

Chrysomelidae; Galerucinae; Alticini Spinola, 1844. This is a very small leaf beetle and is called a Flea Beetle because of its femora which are disproportionately large, enabling it to jump like a flea.

Habitat:

This Flea Beetle was spotted in our backyard vegetable plot, on an Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.), commonly called Talong in the Philippines. Plant information from - http://www.stuartxchange.org/Talong.html.........
