Green sea turtle

Description:

The green sea turtle is an endangered species mainly due to the destruction of their nesting areas. They are protected under many treaties and laws worldwide. The green sea turtle is the largest species of hardshell sea turtles.

Habitat:

This green sea turtle is spotted in Punaluu Black Sand Beach, one of their favorite places to hang out. Green sea turtles are great swimmers thus could be found swimming pretty much in all tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide.

Notes:

Try not to get too close to this endangered species. It might stress them and disturb their reproduction.
