Sidewalk in residential neighborhood adjacent to large open field that is mowed regularly but that has wildflowers, alfalfa, grasses.
Also known as the "Sidewalk Tiger Beetle." The extent of the ivory markings on this species can vary considerably, but the two parallel rows of metallic green "punctures" down the elytra (wing covers) are almost always evident and consistent.
