Description:

Single polypore. Cap approximately 5 to 6 inches wide (widest direction); 3 to 4 inches deep. Cap orange-brown at stem with zones of lighter orange fading to yellow and with a white margin. Surface of cap shiny with an irregular surface. Pore surface white with very small pores (not visible to the naked eye). Pores circular. Stem approximately 4 to 5 inches long; irregular diameter, approximately 0.5 to 0,75 inches. Stem semi-glossy.

Habitat:

Growing near the base of a hardwood tree.

Notes:
