Black-and-White Spiny Spider

Gasteracantha kuhli

Description:

Gasteracantha kuhli C. L. Koch, 1837. This spider's web was fairly expansive and was quite high, overhead. However, in the one reasonably clear photo that I was able to take, the first part of a linear stabilimentum can be seen.

Habitat:

This Black-and-White Spiny Spider was spotted in the farm. Its web was moored between two trees, a Mango Tree (Mangifera indica Linn.) known as Mangang-kalabau and a Lemon Tree (Citrus sp.)
