Laccaria Fungus

Laccaria sp.

Description:

Most of these are very small at 2cm which might make a rethink necessary on the ID although the genus should be solid. Orange to red with orange gills and stem. No scent noticeable.

Habitat:

Open lawn, 100m from salt-water lagoon and beaches. Sandy soil with good humus content. Grew in mid winter after a week of constant heavy rain
