Added two new images of this guy we took today. I am non the wiser yet on the definite ID. I still find it hard to think it is a wood duck.

Probably domestic or feral.

Wood Ducks are not from South Africa, so this might be introduced.

Sjoe, Johan, I know i could only find that one as well, but I can't seem to get a photo of a juvenile with that red eye. I think I'll go with Liam's ID suggestion and keep an eye on this duck at the sanctuary to see if we can spot mature males maybe.

Only one with red eyes around here that I could find is the Southern Porchard of which this might be the juvenile.
