White Cypress Pine

Callitris glaucophylla

Description:

A medium sized tree approx. 10m tall, growing as a dominant in an open woodland community. Despite the common name it is not a pine but a member of the Cupressaceae. The tree does not form flowers but develops male cones which release pollen and fertilize female cones via the wind.
