The northern shoveler has a long spoon-shaped bill. Sits low when swimming. Has a green head, white belly, yellow eyes and rust colored sides. Has orange feet which I did not see.

This northern shoveler was spotted in the marsh at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge in Anahuac, Texas.
