Description:

The adult's elytra are green, gray, or tan with black mottling. This is a female which lacks the horns that males have. Dynastes tityus is one of the longest and heaviest beetles in the United States.

Habitat:

Attracted to lights in my backyard. Deciduous forest nearby.
