Skipperling

Heteropterinae

Notes:

The skipper shares characteristics of both moth and butterfly. They have earned the name skipper due to their darting around from flower to flower. When not flying around erratically, it will hold its short wings in a vertical position, much like a butterfly does. They come in a wider range of colors and patterns and are always fun to watch.
