Oriental Whip Snake

Ahaetulla prasina

Description:

I found this snake in the new rainforest in the Singapore American School. It was green coloured, about 2.5 feet long and 3 cm wide at the longest. Its head was partially flattened. This snake seemed to be changing its colour to brown at the time I spotted the snake. This snake's head was oval shaped, and it had white eyes with a black line across it.

Habitat:

This snake was found in the secondary-rainforest in at the Singapore American School in a partially shady tree along the outside of the rainforest.
