ficus pisocarpa

Description:

It doesn't have any flowers. The plant has small, round, hard, green, and smooth, little fruits. Which are the figs. The leaf shape that it has is ovate, and the dimensions are 21.5 cm. long and 11 cm. wide. Leaf margins are crenate and the venation is netted pinnate. The leaves are very waxy and it has a short drip tip. The bark is smooth. We are pretty sure that the root system is prop an stilt. It feels and looks like bamboo.

Habitat:

The Singapore American School rainforest. It is a secondary rainforest because the trees have chopped down and they re-grew. The area where we found the tree was partly shaded with bits of sunlight.

Notes:

-fig trees do not have blossoms, the blossoms are inside the fruit -there were multiple figs on a branch.. they were in a bunch
