Pink legs and pale back suggest that this is almost certainly a Herring Gull which has strayed a little further south than normal, however, Herring Gull should have much darker head at this time of year. The Portuguese Rare Birds Committee has only ever ratified records of Herring Gull in Portugal about 25 times
