Blomfild's Beauty Butterfly

Smyrna blomfildia

Description:

Wings closed shows an intricate design of spirals and eye-spots. When it flew in, I saw a flash of yellow.

Habitat:

On the street of Tlaquepaque, Mexico. I was having a burger and coffee when I saw this fly in...I left everything on the table and ran after it (thankfully it was a deserted street close to the church). The mariposa settled on the road and I knelt to take three clicks...then, it was gone.
