Nycticorax caledonicus
It seems that this one is surprisingly undisturbed by the prior night's firework displays, life must go on the morning after. evident by recently dried mud on its beak and feet, it did already its morning feeding routine. Beautifully covered by its juvenile plumage, this immature is rufous-brown with many buffs and white spotting and streaking.
