The trout lilies are getting ready to bloom, so excited could not wait for them to post a picture. The leaves, flowers, and especially the roots are edible, but you would never dig up such a beautiful flower would you?

No worries there, this is nature sanctuary I volunteer, and they are blanketing entire areas. :)

This is another favorite. I haven't seen the one species out here in ages. Be sure to go back and catch them in bloom.
