Prevost's Squirrel

Description:

The most commonest of squirrels here! Even it is opportunistic to feed on this spiky figs (Ficus cucurbitina) and that is why this species is so successful. Colour variation occurs among populations distributed across Sundaland.

Habitat:

Found on this Spiky Fig tree (Ficus Cucurbitina) in a logged forest.

Notes:

This was part of a few days observation made by 1StopBorneo Wildlife team to document the ecological importance of this fig tree as a suitable candidate for reforestation projects.
