Green metallic flies with yellow faces and brown eyes. Male and female
on a tortured Casuarina with few needles left in a ridgetop wood in a suburb by the sea. Flies like this get onto twigs without leaves so they can rest on something that is too small for a predator to attack tham and no leaves to slap them in the breeze and yet stiff enough to not fall off
