Description:

A tall, erect, large flowered variety of Heliconia. The relatively inconspicuous flowers emerge from within elongated, narrowly claw-shaped, spirally arranged floral bracts on erect, up to 18 inch (46 cm) tall inflorescences.

Habitat:

Planted as an ornamental in a large semi-urban yard & garden in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
