Description:

Feb 11, 2015 - ID updated to Vespa luctuosa following MarcoSelis' suggestion. ======= Black wasp, about 2cm body length, with white bands at the abdomen. I was not able to get good quality pictures; it kept on flying from one leaf to another, and flew away immediately.

Habitat:

Backyard, spotted on Plumbago plant.
