Schizophyllum commune
Numerous, variously-sized white, hairy, multi-lobed, fan-shaped fungi with scalloped, incurved margins. The width of each fungus is greater than the distance from its attachment to its leading edge. The largest individuals were ~ 1 inch wide. Gills narrow, split lengthwise.
Pacific Northwest suburban area.
Spotted in a back yard garden attached to fallen birch or aspen branches.
