Shield Bug (Nymph)

Pycanum rubens

Description:

This insect has a rectangular, bright red body. The body is about the size of a thumbnail and is curved in on the front and back part. The line straight down its body and the outer edge is the color of white. There are lines that sprout from the middle line that is orange.

Habitat:

Found in the Singapore American School rain forest, on a leaf. It looked like it was sucking the sap out of the leaf.
