1or 2 cm. The images show the where the twig has been scraped away to accommodate the pupal cocoon as well as a close up of the surface of the cocoon. I find the surface to be very beautiful
This style of cocoon is very common here
probably Pseudanapaea transvestita which is common as an adult through April and May (Orange Cup Moth)
