Asystasia gangetica
This plant was fairly small, only about 19-20 cm in height. Its leaves are approximately 7 cm long and 5 cm wide. They were green and so was the stem. It produced single, white colored flowers, with a splash of purple in the center. There are 5 petals and the flowers are 2 cm wide and 1 cm in length.
I found this plant in Singapore American School's rainforest, which is a secondary rainforest. This plant was nestled near the edge of a path and was close to the forest floor. The climate there was sunny, but this plant was shaded by some other trees nearby. I spotted it at 12:41 PM.
