Earias chlorodes
Green bell-shaped moth about 15mm to 2cm long
The plant it was found asleep on is among the images. I cannot remember which common weed it was but by the looks of the id the weed was just a rest.
file# green bell moth. The second image has the most accurate colour
You're welcome! It does seem that the pale variation is more common despite other sources saying the bright green variation is common. Glad to help with this one!
That seems pretty good Jakubko. It is a difficult one to assess because of the pale variants which seem to be more common. http://eol.org/pages/547607/overview and the image in your reference which is pinned. Very well done and thank you :-)
Stephen, I just checked some more pictures. What do you think about Earias chlorodes?
The vibrancy of the green may not be an issue. I have a lot of these spottings where the moths appear to be different colours but are may be regional, sexual or seasonal differences. What if I give it the Earias sp and leave the rest open?
I know Earias chlorodes is in Australia, but is much less a vibrant green.
It is possible Jakubko. The ones I have found since you posted that look similar are all northern hemisphere though
