White capped mushroom-type fungi.
Growing in open pasture, sandy soil, w/ full, exposure to sun. As can be seen it is naturally fertilized by cow manure. This was spotted on the leased land of the Brooker Creek Preserve where as can be seen is used for a temporary cattle operation.

Understand regarding a gill shot. I would have to uproot the specimen to get the shot. First, this is a County Preserve and technically uprooting the specimen would be contrary to the regulations and principals of the Preserve. Second, to do it any other way would get my face to close to the ground w/ the cow manure. So, I let things as they were w/ this one.
Looks like an Agaricus, or Leucoagaricus species. Always helps to have a gill shot when identifying fungi.
