Australian Striped Hawk Moth

Description:

Catterpillars are large and colourful, and were eaten by Aboriginal Australians. These moths have a wingspan of about 6cm. They are brown with creamy stripes.

Habitat:

Found throughout mainland Australia. This moth was attracted to nightlight near native bush.
