Males are known for it's dark red head. It also has golden eyes and a blue bill. Black upper back, rear and breast. Light grey flanks and grey patterned back.

Thank you Hema. Tough to find. Thought Pacific Commons Pond gets them, they are too far to photograph for me. I got lucky here, this one let me so close.
