Tolypocladium Fungus

Tolypocladium sp.

Description:

This mushroom has a bumpy cap, ridged stem, and the base near the ground is yellow

Habitat:

Farmer's cleared field. The area received a lot of rain in the preceding weeks

Notes:

Now that I have learned what it is, next time I will dig and see if there is a deer truffle under the ground that it is growing out of. Fascinating little fungi
