Chocolate-coloured bird. It has white wing patches, yellow bill, and yellow legs. It makes a distinctive sound as it takes flight. Bold bird.


Urban residential neighbourhood. This bird has adapted well to towns and cities. It is a bit of an omnivore and likes the fruits I put out.


In India we say One for Sorrow, Two for Joy...etc...when we see a flock of these birds. Often in pairs and sometimes bald. Bald:
