Aphantochroa cirrochloris (Vieillot, 1818)
The "beija-flor-cinza" is an Apodiforme bird species of Trochilidae family, that measures 12 cm, has a gray-green body, head and parts coppery green-top, gray-green face with a small white ocular spot and a slightly curved black beak down. Its bottoms are dark gray with shades of green in the neck, an uropygial white stain and tufted on crisso, big tail and broad wings almost black dark gray color. The female and the male have the same appearance, however females are a little smaller.
They live solitary or in pairs. Inhabiting tropical forests and humid tropical sub low attitude and heavily degraded former forest. It is endemic in Brazil, where it occurs in the central-eastern Pernambuco to Rio Grande do Sul, Goias and Mato Grosso.
