Lesser Grass Blue

Description:

Lycaenidae; Lycaeninae; Polyommatini; Zizina otis oriens Butler 1883. This Lesser Grass Blue looked very tattered which made me think it was probably nearing the end of its days, but when I moved to try and take a second photo from a different angle, it took off and flew out of reach very quickly. So, it was in better condition than it looked.

Habitat:

Spotted on leaf litter on the road leading into rice fields.
